Game Reschedule Procedure

United Futbol Academy offers one of the largest soccer programs in the state of Georgia. To best serve our players, we utilize many soccer fields for games and practices. To accommodate all of our teams and members, weekend use of UFA fields are scheduled based upon the following time blocks: 

Please note - Time slots for practices and/or rescheduled games will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Evening hour availability is based upon the season’s practice schedule which is designed to accommodate all of our program’s teams. During the normal season, weeknight availability is rare and any additional weeknight field space usage will be offered around existing practice assignments.  Evening hour availability may vary amongst the venues and depends upon lighting availability for the fields. Evening Hour games are only be to be requested as a last option and must have approval from the Branch Director or Director of Soccer. 

Practice Field Use Requests

In addition to the season’s posted practice schedule, Team Managers and Coaches may request field time, up to 2 hours, for additional practices and non-referee scrimmages. Field space will be granted, according to club policies, based upon the availability of a field.

To request the use of a field, please submit an email to scheduler@unitedfa.org  (also copy the branch director - Forsyth: don@unitedfa.org) with the following information:

Home Game Reschedule Requests

The United Futbol Academy has a large number of teams participating in a wide variety of local, state and regional leagues/programs. As such, UFA has established a set of game rescheduling procedures which is designed to accommodate the needs and regulations of all leagues/programs in which our members participate.

PLEASE NOTE: The official request to reschedule a game, with the approval email from both teams or a game cancellation MUST BE RECEIVED BY 12 PM Thursday (NO LESS THAN 8 BUSINESS DAYS) prior to the originally-scheduled date. Game Reschedule or Cancellation Requests made after that time may be subject to a fine equal to the cost of referees plus booking fee.

Teams that do not show for scheduled games (i.e., failure to notify the opposing team within eight days of the scheduled match) will be charged with a forfeit at the discretion of the playing division committee. Should the game be rescheduled, at the discretion of the playing division committee, the cost of the referees for the reschedule shall be borne by the team that was responsible for the match not being played. The referee fees must be paid to the home association prior to the game being rescheduled and no later than 2 weeks prior to the game being played. 

Requests for changing a home game will only be handled by email.  Please complete the two steps below to reschedule a home game.

Step 1:  Contact your opponent (away team) to identify alternate game day possibilities.  Email your request to scheduler@unitedfa.org.  The following information must be provided about the original game:

Note: Indicate the proper team name as listed – for example, UFA U10G Black, not U14 Girls Black, etc.

Step 2:  Once you receive your email response with all available options, please contact the opposing team and reach a mutual decision on the date and time for the rescheduled game.   At that time, please forward the agreement emails from both coaches agreeing to the change.  Once the email sent to the scheduler is received and approved, the schedules will be updated, and referees will be arranged.  A confirmation email will then be sent to the person requesting the change (Team Manager or Coach) with the rescheduled game information and confirmation the game has been updated in GotSport.   

Please note: the scheduler cannot “hold” a field for a game. If 5 days have passed from the initial email to receiving the confirmation email, the field and/or time slot may no longer be available.  Please provide several time slot options for the rescheduled game.
